So, if you've been with this blog from the beginning or just have looked at some of our first posts, you might remember a while back we did a Pop Remixes post. And I had said something about making this a reoccurring element on this blog. BUT, I have slacked on that. In fact the first post was so long ago that we didn't even do images back then. So here is the long overdue Pop Remixes Volume Two. This is just a post of songs that are in popular music (not necessarily rap or pop or rock, but just not electro) remixed into electronic tracks.

Schiebe (Remix Adapted from "Born This Way") - Lady GaGa --> So this last track needs explaining. Basically, as we all know, Lady GaGa can be a bit eccentric. And this song is no exception. At her recent fashion show, she unveiled this song, a German housey adaptation of her new single "Born This Way"

One of the original mainstream nightclubs in NYC, Webster Hall continues to dish out amazing concert after amazing concert, and the upcoming schedule is no different. In February alone, names such as Porter Robinson, Skrillex, Sebastian Ingrosso, Nero, Tiesto (fuck trance), Joachim Garraud, and FareOh. Seeing as we are already at the 9th of February, this is a packed month. I would definitely do my best to go at least to one of these upcoming acts.

As you all probably know electronic music has more sub genres then almost any other kind of music (except metal maybe). And we love to talk about every single one of them on this blog...EXCEPT TRANCE. The big genre for me right now is Dirty Dutch House. Dirty Dutch is characterized by huge and pitchy synth, almost no actual bassline, a shit ton of kick drum, and massive builds and drops. As you could have guess it originated from dutch producers, such as Chuckie, Afrojack, and Sidney Samson. But even Dirty Dutch has its own individual sub-sections. Between dirty dutch producers, there are always similarities in their music, but the differences are what make it amazing. For instance, Afrojack has begun to merge mainstream sounds with classic dirty dutch synths, while Oliver Twizt has almost no mainstream sound and isn't about the drops, but creates disgustingly intricate synth sounds.
