Visual Stimulation

Just a warning, NO TRACKS this post.  But instead, a couple videos for everybody.

Both of the tracks to go with the videos are absolutely unreal.  The first is a teaser, not for a song, but the video for Wake Up Call by Steve Aoki and Sidney Samson.  Shout out to the reader who showed me this, you know who you are.

The next video is Steve Aoki as well, but this time with Laidback Luke and Lil' Jon.  I know that Turbulence has gotten a lot of shit recently, but it's still an ill track and the video is unreal.

AVICII CAN'T STOP

EASILY one of my favorite producers right now, Avicii has put an entire new spin on Progressive House, and has been doing so for quite a while.  And these new tracks are no different.

Somacho W/ Vocal - Avicii [this is the current track being referred to as 'ID,' we have reason to believe that Somacho is in fact the official name, but could be very wrong.  Either way, this is the newest update, the same song WITH VOCALS]

Fuck The Music Original Mix - Avicii

Silhouettes (Original Mix) - Avicii

Before This Night Is Through (Bad Things) - Tim Berg [aka Avicii, song ripped from Radio 1 essential mix :: vocal sample from True Blood]

Berkel (Original Mix) - Avicii [no confirmation that this is indeed Avicii, possibility it is fake]

Hello Miami (Official WMC 2011 Anthem) - Avicii [no confirmation that this is indeed Avicii, possibility it is fake] [[REMOVED BY REQUEST]]

Gold Mines

Every once in a while, I'll have days or even weeks, when I just click download but don't really listen to a lot of the tracks that enter my "Recently Added" playlist.  And this past weekend has been like this.  This morning, while sorting through the mass amounts of downloads I had, I found some which I consider to be pure gold.  So, make sure you actually LISTEN to these tracks, trust me, they are worth it.

Gold.

Heartache (Original Mix) - Mark Simmons [progressive track, give it time to build, sounds like a bigger avicii]

Hello (Dada Life Remix Version 2) - Martin Solveig & Dragonette [dada life takes their HUGE remix of Martin Solveig's banger, and force feeds it steroids]

Last Night (Afrojack Remix) - Ian Carrey ft. Bobby Anthony & Snoop Dogg

Open Your Eyes (Original Mix) - Steve Angello, Alex Metric [REMOVED BY REQUEST]

Warum Nisht! (Original Mix) - Kurd Maverick

Alright feat. Lennart A. Salomon (Club Vocal Mix) - Tocadisco

IRISH CELEBRATION

This is our holiday.

A HUGE shout out today to all the Irish goons out there, your time to shine.  Today is all about you, and make sure everybody knows it.  There isn't much to say about these tracks, pretty self explanatory.  All irish everything.

This first track, although, is NOT electro.  BUT it is in my opinion the soundtrack of the freckled face hustlers.  Shout out to the BOI, sing along if you can.

Irish Celebration - Macklemore ft. Ryan Lewis

You didn't think i was going to have a St. Patrick's Day post without some Irish Electro, did you...

Leprechauns Love Disco (Deluce Remix) - Irish Steph

P.S., I'm trying out a new album art, so download the tracks and tell me what you think.  Leave a comment on the facebook page (link in sidebar, like us!) and let me know which you like better

Ashley Jones, more formally known as Treasure Fingers, has had over a decade of experience in absolutely s
mashing dance floors all over the world. A well-versed producer and an accomplished musician, Treasure Fingers has his lustrous hand in multiple genres. He is also part of the drum and bass trio, EVOL INTENT, who are widely considered the #1 US producers in their respective genre. Treasure Finger's past success has led to the accomplishments of multiple artists including the very well known, Estelle. Below are a few of TF's tracks/remixes that I particularly like. Enjoy.

Pop Remixes: Version Three

Here it comes, the third installment of the Pop Remixes post!  For those of you who don't know, this is a reoccurring post on the blog which highlights electro or just electronic remixes to songs that have nothing to do with the genre.  This means it could be a pop, rock, jazz, or classical, whatever the fuck it is, if its been remixed into an electro song, it counts.  So, without further adieu, here it is, big number three.

P.S., Just so I don't have to hear it later on, I KNOW some of these tracks aren't brand new, but I never said they were.  This is just a collection of ill remixes I have in my library, some maybe new, but some could be old.

HERE is the first pop remixes post.

HERE is the second pop remixes post.

And here are the tracks to number three.

Eat your heart out.

Lisztomania (Shook Remix) - Phoenix

Little Bit (Gigamesh Remix) - Lykke Li

Internet Killed The Video Star (Kids At The Bar Remix) - The Limousines [listen to the lyrics and you'll love the irony]

Power (Paper Diamond Remix) - Kanye West

Land of the Lupes - Bassnectar [Lupe Fiasco done dubstep...THIS is what Lasers needs]

New Dada Life Preview! (March 29th Release)

So, we're all fans of the notorious Swedish duo, Dada Life. I don't know about you but I was a little disappointed in their last banger, Unleash The Fucking Dada, this track, however, is on a completely different level. Even though it is a preview and doesn't obviously show us the complete attitude of the song, from what we're given it sounds absolutely incredible. Don't mind the first 30 seconds, and the drop is mind crushing. Enjoy.

Initiation

As this is my first post on the blog I was thinking of letting all viewers know of my taste of music as well as telling you who the hell I am. My name is Morgan Gray and I am interested in electro/house and every so often if I hear a great dubstep track I'll give it a listen.

Below you will find a variety of electro that I am particularly attracted to. I am going to be posting on the blog somewhat regularly with increasing frequency as I gain more experience.

Hope you enjoy.

Just to warn you all, there are no tracks in this post. It's just an informative message to let you all know that we have a new writer joining our team! I don't want to give much away, and I'll allow him to introduce himself later today with his first post coming up, but his name on NOTA will be Kidso.

Everybody get psyched for the debut post of electro aficionado and up and coming prodigy, KIDSO.

Church Of Noise

This post is long overdue.  It's in my opinion one of the most important posts on the blog.  What makes it so crucial? The focus is on the most influential and avant-garde production groups and producer currently making music.  I give you, The Bloody Beetroots.  For those who don't know, The Bloody Beetroots are made up of mainly Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, who is behind most production, and Tommy Tea who is  added help during live sets.  The two both wear black spider man masks at all times when performing, and have in my opinion (and what has come to be almost a common school of knowledge) have brought more to electro than any other group.  They hail from Italy, and SBCR has an extensive punk-hardcore background.  He started as a frontman to a self-named group (check out the Kinky Malinki post here), and all aspects of that fast paced, harsh, three chord rock are present in his electronic music.  SBCR is the godfather of electropunk.  He has almost perfected the use of the hoover synth sound and compressor effects ("warp" sound), which is being imitated countlessly now.  An image, an icon, an artist, Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo is an incredible producer and should be a household name if he isn't already.

Just a forewarning, seeing as the Beetroots are easily one of my top three favorite production groups right now if not my favorite, these posts may seem to be reoccurring, as every new song released will be posted here.

Here are some earsplitting tracks to add the Beetroots to your library.

P.S., There are some older Beetroots tracks that have been posted earlier on the blog, make sure to go back and check them out.

Mini Dual Spotlight: No Body! and Breakdown

Today's spotlight focuses on two of my favorite new producers.  Both are constantly releasing a ton of new remixes, as well as original mixes.

Breakdown, made up by the David brothers (Matt and Josh), are from Los Angeles originally, and have both been DJing and Producing since they were early teens.  They're sound is a combination of Disco and hard house, which, although it sounds a bit like an oxymoron, is an incredible sound.  They combine the upbeat melodies of disco with the club banger bass of house.  Un. Real.

No Body! consists of two producers, Kevin Chapman and Ruben Smulovitz, both hailing from Los Angeles.  They are up and coming onto the electro scene, but creating huge hype for themselves with their constant stream of insane tracks.  Their sound can be best described as hard hitting house you can relax to.  Again, this sounds like a paradox, but trust me, it's perfect.  The duo run a music blog of their own, and make sure you check it out at www.dscotech.com.  All of their new tracks can be heard their first, as well as a ton of other music.

HERE are all the tracks for both artists, make sure to check all of them out.
